Home-Style Roast Leg of Lamb
Ingredients:
- Fresh Leg of Lamb (2000g)
- "太太乐原味鲜" Soy Sauce (30g)
- "太太乐" Cooking Wine (15g)
- Onion (1/2)
- Potatoes (2)
- Carrot (1/2)
- Apple (1/2)
- Garlic (1/2 head)
- Cumin Seeds (8g)
- Cumin Powder (8g)
- Chili Powder (5g)
- Salt (7g)
- Salad Oil (10g)
- Honey Water (20g)
Instructions:
- Prepare and clean the leg of lamb, making cuts for flavor absorption. Split the leg if too large for the oven.
- Chop the apple, potatoes, carrot, onion, and garlic.
- Mix cumin powder, cumin seeds, salt, chili powder, and soy sauce in a bowl.
- Add cooking wine to the mixture.
- Apply the marinade evenly on the lamb, massaging it in. Marinate for at least 5 hours, preferably overnight.
- Mix remaining marinade with chopped vegetables.
- Wrap the lamb and vegetables in cling film and refrigerate.
- Preheat the oven to 210°C. Place vegetables on foil, top with lamb, and wrap. Bake for 1 hour.
- Remove foil, apply honey water, sprinkle more cumin and chili powder, and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
- Remove the roasted lamb from the oven and enjoy the aroma!
