Chicken Broth, Chinese Yam, and Pork Rib Soup

Notes

Ingredients:
  • 1 pork rib
  • 1 Chinese yam (long, thin variety)
  • 1 carrot
  • Salt to taste
  • Appropriate amount of cooking wine (preferably a brand like "Tai Tai Le")
  • Appropriate amount of chicken broth seasoning (preferably a brand like "Tai Tai Le")
  • Appropriate amount of green onions and ginger
  • A handful of bok choy
Instructions:
  1. Cut the Chinese yam and carrot into chunks. Wash the bok choy thoroughly. Clean the pork rib with flour and rinse twice.
  2. Boil water in a pot, add the pork rib, green onions, ginger, and cooking wine. Skim off the foam. If needed, you can change the water after skimming the blood foam. For better results, cook in a clay pot.
  3. After the pork ribs are tender, add the Chinese yam and carrot. Cook until soft, then add the bok choy until it's cooked.
  4. Before serving, season with salt and chicken broth seasoning.
  5. The Chinese yam will become soft and melt into the soup, making it especially delicious. This dish is perfect for winter.
