Homemade Red Braised Fish
Ingredients:
- 1 Fish
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 spoon Soybean Paste
- A bit of Green Onion
- Appropriate amount of Ginger
- 1 spoon Light Soy Sauce
- 1 spoon Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 spoon Oyster Sauce
- Appropriate amount of Salt
Instructions:
- Clean the fish, cut slits on both sides, and prepare ginger, green onion, and garlic.
- Heat a pan with cold oil, fry the fish until both sides are golden brown, then remove and set aside.
- Leave some oil in the pan, add minced garlic, ginger, and green onion pieces, and fry until fragrant. Then add water, a bit of salt, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and soybean paste (or bean paste).
- Put the fish back in, braise while occasionally spooning the sauce over the fish, for about 8 minutes (adjust time based on the size of the fish).
- Once the fish is cooked, remove it, leave the sauce in the pan, add some cornstarch water to thicken the sauce.
- Finally, pour the thickened sauce over the fish.
- Garnish with green onion before serving.
