Soothing Ginger Candy Slices
Ingredients:
- Fresh Ginger: 230g
- Rock Sugar: 200g
- Pure Water: 200ml
Instructions:
- Clean and peel the fresh ginger, then cut it into thin slices. Rinse the ginger slices several times in water to reduce the spiciness.
- In a non-stick pan, add 200ml of pure water and the rock sugar. Heat over high heat until the sugar dissolves, then add the ginger slices.
- Once boiling, stir with a spatula, and continue cooking for about 6-7 minutes until the syrup starts to reduce. Switch to medium-low heat and keep stirring until the syrup thickens.
- Cook until the syrup coats the ginger slices well, and they become sticky and integrated with the sugar.
- After turning off the heat, continue stirring. The sugar will thicken further and start to crystallize, turning white.
- Keep stirring until the ginger candy slices are dry and coated with a layer of frosty sugar.
- The delicious and soothing ginger candy slices are now ready to be enjoyed!
