Potato Stewed Rice


  • Rice, 250g
  • Potatoes, 2 (200g)
  • Pork belly, 150g
  • Garlic cloves, 4
  • Green onion, 1
  • Jiayu Chicken Essence, half a spoon
  • Jiayu Chicken Sauce, half a spoon
  • Oyster sauce, 1 spoon
  • Light soy sauce, 2 spoons
  • Dark soy sauce, a suitable amount
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  1. Heat oil and melt rock sugar until it turns brown. Add chopped pork belly and stir-fry to release excess fat.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped green onions, stir until fragrant.
  3. Add cut green beans.
  4. Add potato chunks (or strips for quicker cooking) and stir-fry until the beans are semi-soft.
  5. Pour in mixed sauce (oyster sauce, light soy sauce, chicken sauce, a bit of salt), add Jiayu Chicken Essence, and stir well.
  6. Put rice in boiling water, stir continuously to prevent sticking, cook for about 6-7 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  7. Add the parboiled rice, spread evenly, and pour half a bowl of water along the edge of the pot. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
  8. Finally, sprinkle with chopped green onions.
