Curry Beef Rice

Notes

Ingredients:
  • Beef brisket: 300g
  • Potato: 1
  • Carrot: 1
  • Onion: ½
  • Curry block: 1
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Rice: as needed
Instructions:
  1. Prepare beef brisket, potatoes, carrots, and onion. Cut them into chunks.
  2. Marinate the beef with cooking wine, blanch in water to remove any impurities and gaminess.
  3. Sauté onions until soft.
  4. Add the beef to the pan and stir-fry until aromatic. Use ginger powder if fresh ginger is not available.
  5. Season with salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, a pinch of Sichuan pepper powder, and star anise powder. Add star anise and simmer the beef on low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Add the curry block, potatoes, and carrots, and continue to stew for another 10 minutes.
  7. Serve with rice.
