Marinated Freshwater Shrimp: A Simple Home Recipe
Ingredients:
- Freshwater shrimp, 250g
- Selected marinating sauce, 150g
- Garlic, 2 cloves
- Ginger, 5 slices
- Bird's eye chili, 2
- High-proof liquor, as needed
Instructions:
- Rinse the shrimp thoroughly and place them in a large bowl.
- Pour high-proof liquor over the shrimp, ensuring they are fully submerged. After 20 minutes, discard the liquor and rinse the shrimp with water to remove the alcohol flavor.
- Prepare a suitable sealed container. Slice the ginger and garlic, and cut the bird's eye chilis.
- Add the selected marinating sauce to the container, ensuring the shrimp are fully immersed. Seal and refrigerate.
- After refrigerating for 24 hours, remove the shrimp and place them on a serving dish.
- As an optional step, display the marinating sauce alongside the shrimp for presentation.
- The shrimp should be pale, tender, and fully infused with the flavors of the marinade. Taste should be moderately salty, fresh, and the shrimp tender and smooth.
