Butter Pan-Fried Cod Fish
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of cod fish
- 1 green onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 green lemon (lime)
- Natural butter, as needed
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tablespoon cooking wine
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 leaf of lettuce (for decoration)
Instructions:
- Prepare the ingredients: chop green onions, slice garlic, and halve the lime. Set aside additional garnishes.
- Marinate the fish with cooking wine, oyster sauce, and a pinch of salt.
- Pat the fish dry and slice it in the middle if it's too thick. Cut the lime in half.
- In a flat pan, melt butter over low heat and add the fish, green onions, and garlic. Brush an additional layer of oyster sauce on the fish.
- Squeeze the juice of one lime half over the fish and cover the pan.
- Once one side of the fish is golden brown, carefully flip it over. Be gentle as the fish is tender and can break easily.
- Cook until both sides are golden brown and the fish is cooked through. The fish should be tender and flake easily.
- Serve the fish on a bed of lettuce for presentation.
