Crispy Cod Fish and Lotus Root Box
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of cod fish
- 1 section of lotus root
- 50 grams of carrot
- 10 grams of green onion
- 1 egg white
- 1/3 teaspoon of salt
- 15 grams of starch
- 1/5 teaspoon of pepper powder
Instructions:
- Prepare all the ingredients.
- Dice the carrot and chop the green onion. Peel and slice the lotus root. Separate the egg white and prepare the starch.
- De-skin and cut the cod fish into small pieces.
- Place the fish in a food processor.
- Add diced carrot, chopped onion, starch, salt, and pepper powder to the processor.
- Blend until evenly mixed.
- Spread a layer of fish paste on a slice of lotus root, cover with another slice to form a box. Repeat for all.
- Fry the lotus root boxes in oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove the fried lotus root boxes from the oil.
