Easy Vegetarian Spicy Hot Pot
Ingredients:
- Potatoes, 2
- Lotus root, 1 section
- Cabbage, 1 head
- Thai peppers, 8
- Spicy beef sauce, 1 spoon
- Perilla sauce, 1 spoon
- Shrimp (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the potatoes and lotus root into pieces. Set aside.
- Chop the cabbage and prepare any other vegetables you'd like to add.
- Boil water in a pot and cook the vegetables.
- Once the water boils, reduce to medium heat and continue cooking for 5 minutes.
- Remove the vegetables and set them aside.
- In a separate pan, heat some oil and fry the Thai peppers.
- Add a spoon of spicy beef sauce and a spoon of perilla sauce.
- Fry the sauces until aromatic.
- Add the boiled vegetables to the sauce, mixing well.
- Cover the vegetables with cabbage.
- Add a bowl of water, just enough to cover the potatoes.
- After the water boils, reduce to low heat and cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Increase to high heat at the end to reduce the sauce.
- Your spicy vegetarian hot pot is ready to serve. Adjust salt to taste.
