- 350g all-purpose flour
- 3g yeast
- 170-180g warm water
- 10g granulated sugar
- 300g chicken thigh meat
- 2 tablespoons cooking wine, about 10g
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce, about 10g
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, about 20g
- 40g Orleans powder
- 2 green peppers
- Shredded cheese, as needed
Instructions:
- Prepare the ingredients.
- Remove the skin from the chicken thighs and cut into small cubes.
- Add cooking wine, soy sauce, tomato sauce, and Orleans powder to the chicken. Mix well.
- Marinate the chicken for about 30 minutes.
- Deseed the green peppers and cut into small pieces. Set aside.
- Heat a little oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken, and stir-fry until cooked. Add green pepper pieces and continue to stir-fry until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, and sugar. Gradually add warm water while stirring with chopsticks until the mixture becomes lumpy.
- Knead by hand to form a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions (about 30-40g each).
- Shape each portion into a small ball.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out each ball into a circle, thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges.
- Place a small amount of shredded cheese and the chicken and green pepper filling in the center of each circle.
- Pinch to create a pattern and seal the bun.
- Place the buns in a steamer, cover, and let them rise until they are 1.5 times their original size.
- Steam over cold water for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let sit for 3 more minutes.
- Cool leftover buns, then seal and freeze for up to half a month. Reheat by steaming before eating.
