Pizza Buns Recipe

Notes

Ingredients:
  • 350g all-purpose flour
  • 3g yeast
  • 170-180g warm water
  • 10g granulated sugar
  • 300g chicken thigh meat
  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine, about 10g
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, about 10g
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce, about 20g
  • 40g Orleans powder
  • 2 green peppers
  • Shredded cheese, as needed
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Remove the skin from the chicken thighs and cut into small cubes.
  3. Add cooking wine, soy sauce, tomato sauce, and Orleans powder to the chicken. Mix well.
  4. Marinate the chicken for about 30 minutes.
  5. Deseed the green peppers and cut into small pieces. Set aside.
  6. Heat a little oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken, and stir-fry until cooked. Add green pepper pieces and continue to stir-fry until the sauce thickens.
  7. Remove from heat and set aside.
  8. In a bowl, mix flour, yeast, and sugar. Gradually add warm water while stirring with chopsticks until the mixture becomes lumpy.
  9. Knead by hand to form a smooth dough.
  10. Divide the dough into small portions (about 30-40g each).
  11. Shape each portion into a small ball.
  12. Use a rolling pin to roll out each ball into a circle, thicker in the middle and thinner at the edges.
  13. Place a small amount of shredded cheese and the chicken and green pepper filling in the center of each circle.
  14. Pinch to create a pattern and seal the bun.
  15. Place the buns in a steamer, cover, and let them rise until they are 1.5 times their original size.
  16. Steam over cold water for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let sit for 3 more minutes.
  17. Cool leftover buns, then seal and freeze for up to half a month. Reheat by steaming before eating.
