Are MQFORU Silicone Slow Cooker Liners a Game-Changer for Crockpot Cooking?

I am delighted with the MQFORU Silicone Slow Cooker Liners that I recently purchased for my 6-8 quart crockpot. These liners are a culinary innovation, allowing me to cook or warm two different dishes simultaneously without any flavor transfer. The liners’ design is clever, they’re durable, and the convenience they offer is unmatched.

The liners fit perfectly into my 6qt slow cooker, maintaining their shape admirably unless filled to the brim with water. Intended for single-use, they are foldable for easy storage. Despite the many positives, I have reservations about the accompanying hot pads. The silicone appears thin, raising concerns about heat resistance.

These liners excel with recipes like Beef Bourguignon, where they reduce the required amount of wine significantly. Additionally, they allow for the separate cooking of ingredients, like potatoes, ensuring they don’t absorb meat juices. Moreover, they have solved my challenge of needing to warm two items in one crockpot. The silicone adjusts to accommodate and effectively cooks both dishes.

However, the liners’ potential gap around the inserts initially caused concern. Yet, their flexibility contained the food and filled the space perfectly. This flexibility extended to cleanup, avoiding the dreaded scrub of porcelain after transferring leftovers to storage containers.

Included with the two-piece collapsible liners are a pair of silicone finger mitts. The liners unfold in a unique manner, folding inside out, then the walls are pulled up. Although initially surprising, this feature doesn’t complicate usage. The liners make cleanup much easier, a welcomed advantage.
