Crispy Chicken Nuggets: A Tasty Homemade Delight
Ingredients:
- 1 piece of chicken breast
- A small amount of ginger
- 1 tablespoon cooking wine
- Salt, to taste
- White pepper powder, to taste
- 1/2 bowl of cornstarch
- 1 bowl of flour
- 1 egg
- Appropriate amount of salad oil
- Appropriate amount of light soy sauce
- Chili powder and cumin powder for garnishing (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken breast into strips and ginger into shreds.
- Marinate the chicken with ginger, cooking wine, white pepper, salt, and cornstarch for about 30 minutes.
- Prepare the batter by mixing flour, cornstarch, egg, salt, thirteen spices, white pepper, and water. Add oil and mix well. The batter should be yogurt-like in consistency.
- Coat the marinated chicken evenly with the batter.
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a pot until it's about 70-80% hot.
- Fry the chicken until it holds its shape and then continue frying until cooked.
- Remove the chicken and reheat the oil, then re-fry the chicken until the exterior is completely crispy.
- Season with chili powder and cumin powder for extra flavor (optional).
