Typhoon Shelter Fried Shrimp
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of shrimp
- Bread crumbs, as needed
- Salt, to taste
- White sugar, to taste
- Chicken powder, to taste
- Pepper powder, to taste
- Oyster sauce, as needed
- Fried minced garlic, as needed
- Coconut flakes, to taste
- Lemon leaves, as needed
- Cornstarch, for cleaning shrimp
Instructions:
- Rinse shrimp with cornstarch and water to clean them.
- Trim off the shrimp whiskers and feet.
- Butterfly the shrimp for better flavor absorption.
- Season shrimp with salt, sugar, chicken powder, and pepper, then mix well.
- Fry shrimp in oil heated to 70% hot until golden brown on both sides.
- Cover and simmer for a few minutes.
- Add bread crumbs and stir-fry on low heat until evenly coated, being careful not to burn them.
- Plate the shrimp, and garnish with fried minced garlic, coconut flakes, and lemon leaves.
- Serve hot, enjoying the crispy exterior and tender, flavorful interior.
