Arrange in a steamer. Make sure that the water in the steamer is already boiling before putting the cake. Steam for 45 minutes (depending on the thickness of the mixture) or until toothpick comes out clean.
FOR BAKING: Bake in a pre-heated oven for 35 to 40 minutes at 180 C or 350 F. If ube condensed milk is unavailable, you can use regular, no flavor condensed milk. Just add around 1 to 2 tablespoon ube flavoring. If you don’t have aluminum foil to cover the baking pan, cover the lid with cloth to absorb the steaming water.
