If you want to make this Nutella mug cake without the eggs, you can substitute the egg for 3 tablespoons of milk. This Nutella mug cake is fudgy, gooey and such a delicious chocolate single serving cake!
In your mug, whisk together the Nutella and egg. Then stir in the flour, cocoa & baking powder. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds – or until the top looks set. The cake (and cup) will be hot when they come out of the microwave so just be careful not to burn your tongue! I find that the narrower your mug is – the more it will rise.
This single serving Nutella mug cake is just 4 ingredients and eggless! It cooks in the microwave in about 1 minute. My theme for this weekend was to simplify. I’ve been making a lot of cookies that require only three or four ingredients lately.
This Nutella cake is fluffy and delicious with chocolate hazelnut flavor throughout. The cake crumb is a little loose without the egg acting as a binding agent, but since you’re eating it out of a mug, it shouldn’t be an issue.
