In separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture, alternately with milk and sour cream, into butter mix, until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30-40 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. This recipe will make approximately 50 Cake Pops.
Crumble the cooled cake into the bowl on top of the frosting. Make sure there are no large lumps. Turn the mixer on low and beat the frosting and cake crumbles together until combined. Measure 1 scant Tablespoon of moist cake mixture and roll into a ball.
Let cool completely. Break the cake into pieces and place it in a food processor. Add the frosting and process until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the bowl, about 30 seconds. If the mixture doesn’t come together, add more frosting 1 tablespoon at a time until it holds its shape.
Add confectioners’ sugar, cocoa powder, 2 teaspoons of heavy cream/milk, and vanilla extract with the mixer running on low. Increase to high speed and beat for 3 minutes until it really comes together. Add another teaspoon of milk/cream if it looks a little too thick. Crumble the cooled cake into the bowl on top of the frosting.
