How to Make Crispy Oil-Braised Arctic Shrimp at Home?

Crispy Oil-Braised Arctic Shrimp

Notes

Ingredients:
  • 9 Canadian Arctic raw shrimps
  • Appropriate amount of corn oil
  • 10g starch
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 5g each of green onion, ginger, and garlic
  • Equal parts light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar (1:1:1 ratio)
Instructions:
  1. Thaw the wild Canadian Arctic raw shrimps, caught from the cold, pristine waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean. These shrimps are flash-frozen on fishing vessels without being precooked and are perfect for various cooking methods including blanching, braising, baking, boiling, grilling, and hot pot.
  2. Lightly coat the shrimps with starch.
  3. Heat corn oil in a pan and sauté green onion, ginger, and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the Arctic shrimps to the pan and stir-fry. Pour in the mixed sauce and continue to stir-fry.
  5. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the shrimps to a serving dish, drizzle with vinegar, and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
