Let cake cool in pan for at least 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely. If using just one pan, repeat the process and bake your second cake layer of the same letter. You can slice each letter into two if you would like more layers. For my letter E pictured, I kept it to two layers and didn’t slice each cake after baking.
