Review and Features of Hamilton Beach Sear & Cook Stock Pot Slow Cooker

The Hamilton Beach Sear & Cook Stock Pot Slow Cooker with Stovetop Safe Crock, boasting a large 10 Quart Capacity and a programmable silver design (Model: 33196) is an appliance I’ve eagerly anticipated for a year. My expectations were sky-high, and I’m thrilled to say that they were met and even surpassed. Being an enthusiast for soups, stews, and chilies, I’ve always found it challenging to cook small batches. Moreover, my physical disability makes me lean towards minimal cleanup, making slow cooking a godsend in terms of energy conservation. With these cooking interests and needs, this appliance seemed like the perfect addition to my kitchen arsenal.

Several key features caught my eye. After utilizing them, I felt confident enough to cater a graduation party for over 100 guests without the need to constantly refill hot dishes. The capacity of this crockpot is impressive—it can hold over 18lbs of food! For the party, I purchased six of these units and set up a taco bar. Not only did it serve everyone, but there were even leftovers. Given my wonderful experience, I’ve even considered hosting soup cook-off parties in the future. The crock pots have earned a special place on my shelves, affectionately referred to as my “crockpot babies”.

However, it wasn’t all perfect. I did notice a couple of minor dents after using it. Still, in the one week since I got it, it’s evident that it’s an excellent product. I use it to cook food for my two dogs for a fortnight, and its size and ease of cleaning make it perfect for the job. Moreover, its programmability adds to its appeal. Its large size is perfect for cooking meatballs comfortably, and it heats up quickly and maintains its temperature. The only minor hiccup is the lid; it doesn’t snap shut for travel. Cleaning is a breeze, and its design is more space-efficient than the traditional oval crockpot. However, a slight issue I encountered was with cooking brown rice; it didn’t fully cook during the eight hours, despite having enough water.

In conclusion, if you frequently host large parties or simply need a reliable and sizable slow cooker, the Hamilton Beach Sear & Cook Stock Pot Slow Cooker is a must-have. Check it out on Amazon (ad) and consider adding it to your kitchen collection.
