This fudgy, gooey Nutella Mug Cake is somewhere in between a warm brownie and slice of your favorite chocolate cake. Made in the microwave and ready in under 5 minutes – it’s the perfect mug cake recipe for when you’re craving chocolate. If I could officially declare Nutella as its own food group – I 100% would.
In your mug, whisk together the Nutella and egg. Then stir in the flour, cocoa & baking powder. Microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds – or until the top looks set. The cake (and cup) will be hot when they come out of the microwave so just be careful not to burn your tongue! I find that the narrower your mug is – the more it will rise.
Stir all-purpose flour, coconut flour, cocoa powder and baking powder together in a small bowl; add 3 tablespoons almond milk, vanilla extract, Nutella(R) and 1/2 tablespoon milk, respectively, stirring between each addition until you finally have a smooth batter. Transfer batter to mug. Cook in microwave for 1 minute.
