honey cake recipe: now prepare the honey syrup by dissolving 2 tbsp sugar in ¼ cup water. boil the sugar syrup for 2 minutes or till sugar syrup turns sticky. now allow the sugar syrup to cool slightly. when the sugar syrup is warm, add ¼ cup honey and mix well. pour the prepared honey syrup over the cake and allow to seep into the cake.
Pour the eggless cake batter in the cake pan. gently tap and shake the sides so as to even the batter in the pan. Place the pan in the preheated oven for 180 degrees celsius. If using otg then use both the top and bottom heating elements on (toast mode in the indian otgs).
I used the eggless orange cake recipe for this cake. You can make your favorite basic vanilla cake and make this honey cake too. Do a basic sponge cake. Make simple syrup and pour all over the cake to drench with it. On the top, spread with jam, finally, finish with a lavish sprinkle of desiccated coco nut.
