Our family always make a Birthday cake for Jesus. Making the cake according to these instructions ensures that every part of your cake has meaning and just describing the meaning allows one to easily share the Gospel.
This cake is not only super yummy, but also it SHARES THE GOSPEL. Each color of those beautiful layers symbolizes something in the story of our Savior. The chocolate layer reminds us that we are sinful. The red layer reminds us that Jesus shed his blood for our sins. The white frosting reminds us that Jesus has given us a clean heart.
Add several drops of red food coloring (representing the blood of Jesus) to the first bowl of batter. Mix well and pour into the first cake pan.
Ingredients: 1 box white cake mix, Red/Green/Yellow Food coloring, 1 container white frosting, Two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans, 1 large white taper candle, 1 box small birthday candles (enough for each child)
