Homemade Orange Juice Gummies

Notes

Ingredients:
  • Orange Juice - 500g
  • Water - 400g
  • Granulated Sugar - 150g
  • Butter - 60g
  • Lemon Juice - 20g
  • Cornstarch - 85g
  • Water (for cornstarch) - 85g
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Peel the oranges, removing as much of the white pith as possible.
  3. Blend the peeled fruit in a blender to make a puree.
  4. Strain the puree to extract the juice.
  5. Add granulated sugar and water to the juice.
  6. Cook over medium heat until boiling, then add butter and lemon juice.
  7. Gradually add the cornstarch mixed with water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  8. Keep stirring until the mixture does not stick to the pot or spatula.
  9. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, pour the gummy mixture, and shape it. Allow to cool.
  10. Cut into pieces and roll in fine sugar. Alternatively, use cooked starch or wrap in glutinous rice paper if you prefer less sweetness.
  11. Store the gummies in an airtight container.
