Ingredients 1 Boxed cake mix (Betty Crocker, Dunkin Hines) 2 Vanilla Icing 3 Chocolate Icing 4 Green Food Color 5 Box of Oreo cookies 6 Chocolate Malt Balls 7 2 round 8″ or 9″ cake pans 8 Optional: 9 Monster truck decorations (Grave Digger toy truck, birthday number cake topper, finish line flag cake topper)
Trim down loaf cake to form the cab of the truck. Carve away pieces of cake to form the hood.
To make a part of the top of the cake look muddy (like in a Monster Jam), we used the Oreo cookies (with the white middles removed) and crushed them up into small pieces. This part was super fun for my 5 year old – no adult help required.
Frost the hood, doors and bottom third of the truck with yellow frosting. For wheels, attach doughnuts with plain frosting on each side of truck. Spread some of the white frosting on the slanted windshield. Place the remaining white frosting in a pastry or plastic bag; cut a small hole in a corner.
