Quaker rice cakes are practically nothing but empty calories and the flavored ones should be burned. I disagree, however, with one sentence of the article. My rebuttal is that not all⬅ rice cakes are the same nutritionally as 2 tsp of sugar. Sugar is addictive and harmful to the body. Most plain rice cakes do not contain sugar.
Preparing a Chinese festival feast back in the old days must have been a daunting task.
