Which is why we like this quick, customizable no mixer cake recipe! This recipe can be made in 1 bowl, without a mixer. It can be poured into 2, 9″ rounds, a half sheet pan or even cupcakes. The choice is yours. The whole thing comes together in under 5 minutes, which is typically less time than it takes for your oven to even preheat!
First start whisking together your dry ingredients- your flour (be sure to measure your flour correctly !), baking powder and salt. Then in a second mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated white sugar.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together 125 g (4.5 oz / ½ cup) softened butter with 1 ½ cups of sifted icing sugar. Add 1 tsp. of vanilla essence and 2 tbsp. milk then beat well until fluffy.
